Awareness & Communication of National e-Governance Plan (NeGP)

The National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) by the Goverment of India, takes a holistic view of e-Governance initiatives across the country, integrating them into a collective vision, a shared cause. Around this idea, a massive countrywide infrastructure reaching down to the remotest of villages is evolving, and large-scale digitization of records is taking place to enable easy, reliable access over the internet. The ultimate objective is to bring public services closer home to citizens.

Mr. R Sampath (Empower Tamizhagam) spoke on the criticality of rural technologies, eGovernance, and mobile ICT for better engagement with citizens.

Featuring leaders from DEITY, Airtel, BeWo, BSNL, TNRSP, NIC, C-DAC, SEMT, Tamil Nady Health Dept, the event aims to sensitize Senior Decision Makers and Stakeholders of National e-Governance Programme, State Government Leadership, e-Governance Consultants and e-Governance Heads to interact on various themes linked to networked e-Governance Model. The overall objectives of the session are to strengthen the capacity of the State in e-Governance and set new approaches and strategies in the use of ICT for improved public service reform & performance.
